Construction of cattle house

• The basic requirement for the construction of the cowshed is to face the south and, if conditions permit, to construct according to the steel structure.

• The cowshed adopts a semi-open double row. The north side of the cowshed is completely closed, the south side is open . And the shed is paved with bricks.

The drip slope at the top of the cowshed is generally not less than 25°, and the front and rear ridges are 3 meters high and the ridge depth is 0.8-1.0 cm.

• The door and window requirements of the cattle house.

The height of the cow house is 2.2 meters high and 1 meter wide. The window of the cow house is 1.5m high and 1.5m wide, and the window sill is 1.2m away from the ground .

• Cow bed and feeding trough.

The length of the cow bed is 2.0-2.2m and the width is 1.0-1.2m. The cattle feed trough has a width of 0.6-0.8m on the feeding trough and a bottom width of 0.35-0.40m .

• Fecal storage tank

The storage pool is located at the end of the cow bed near the wall, generally 0.25-0.3 m wide and 0.15-0.3 m deep .

Cattle breeding technology

• Disinfection

Before the cow enters the cattle house, spray the ground and wall with 2% caustic soda solution or 20% quicklime water.

The appliance should be disinfected with 1% benzalkonium or 0.1% potassium permanganate solution . The disinfection tank should be set at the entrance of the cow house.

• Deworming and stomachic

The bovine body was sprayed with a 0.3% peracetic acid solution and the bovine body was wiped with a 0.25% wax emulsion to expel the skin parasite.

Feed the cows to resist creep to remove parasites from the bovine body.

• Feeding management

Insist on feeding in the morning, at noon, and in the evening three times. Feed the forage first, then feed the ingredients, and finally drink .

Feeding with crop straw, silage straw, corn, sorghum, wheat, bean cake and salt. Dry powder must be mixed with wet feed.

The concentrate and roughage should be reasonably matched, and they should be prepared according to the proportion of different stages, and should not be increased or decreased at will.

• Slaughtered at the right time.

When the fattening cattle are 18 to 22 months old and weigh more than 400-450 kg, the whole body is full of muscles, the subcutaneous fat adheres well, and the feed intake of the cattle is gradually reduced, which indicates that the fattening cows can be slaughtered .
